The King

Kingsley. Kingsley. Kingsley. Kingsley. The King. This book is literally All. About. Kingsley. Which makes a lot of sense because the first book we got that was mostly about him was The Prince, and the Prince must one day become a King, right? Now, I don’t know if it’s because it took me super long to read this book, or because amazon shipped me a defective copy (grrr), but out of all the Tiffany Reisz books I’ve read, so far this is my least favourite. That’s not to say this book was bad! No! This book was great! It just felt so much longer than all the others… It seemed to drag on, and on… But again, that’s just my personal opinion. This book was a GREAT ADDITION to the series, it just wasn’t what I expected. The 8th Circle has always had a King, and the King has always sat on the throne. But the Kingdom didn’t just sprout up from the ground overnight. Building the Kingdom took hard work and the sort of dedication that only Kingsley Edge could provide. Kingsley was in a rut and had no purpose in life. It took the return of the love of his life to find purpose, to find his reason for being. He was going to build a Kingdom for people like him and Soren, people who had no where else to go. Challenges arose and partnerships were made. All that was standing in the way was a Church, a Church Kingsley was determined to bring down. This is the story of how the Prince became the King and how the Kingdom was built. Although I specified that this book was my least favourite, that doesn’t mean it didn’t have good points. I personally love hearing about a character’s back story, and we got A LOT of insight into Kingsley’s life. These books aren’t just about Nora and Soren, they’re about Kingsley too (the Unholy Trinity). Just like how in The Saint we got to see Nora from when she first met Soren, to what she was like in school, we got to see Kingsley go from the Prince to the King, and did he EVER earn his title. Man! If I could work for someone like Kingsley Edge, so dedicated, so determined, so sure and so proud of his work, oh man, that’s like the dream. The things Kingsley did for his Kingdom, for Soren, for Sam, for the people who would work for him, that’s loyalty, that’s how you earn the title of King. “I wanted this club for you,” Kingsley confessed. “The truth is, I was building it for you. I wanted you to have somewhere safe you could go and be you. Because I love you,” Now, maybe it’s just me being a little biased or something… Maybe because there wasn’t enough Nora – although there was a good amount of Soren in the book – I just felt like the story moved very slowly. Yes, there was a lot of content to cover and a lot of information the readers needed to have, but I just felt, like it took too long. The tone I felt was very…not flat-line, but it was just very neutral, like there wasn’t a lot to get me really excited. If there was a climax I think I missed it, or it just didn’t hit me as hard as I thought it would have. All I’m going to say without ruining the ending is that I’m SO GLAD everything worked out. I was getting pretty worried there for a second that the story wasn’t going quite where I was expecting it to. I’m glad it had a happy ending and man, was I ever surprised with the last chapter or two. What I wouldn’t give to be part of a family like that. So much love and support and loyalty. It doesn’t matter that they aren’t all blood, but they’re closer than any family could ever be. These are the type of people who would do anything to protect their family, bleed, blackmail, and hurt anyone who stood in their way. “I promise you this,” Søren whispered, “I will never turn my back on you. I will never leave you. I will never forsake you. As long as it’s in my power, I will be your friend, and I will be here for you whenever you need me.” There’s a lot of heart and soul that goes into these books as well as into these characters, and I love every single one! I just… I can’t. There are never any words to talk about how much I love them. To have that kind of powerful love and dedication to one person, or to multiple people. No one said you can love just one person, and these three (well in this book, Kingsley and Soren), really do push those boundaries and make you wish you had a relationship with someone like that. Kingsley may love Soren, and Soren may love Nora, but he still loves Kingsley, just not as much as Kingsley loves him back. It’s a difficult triangle and a difficult situation to be in. You really have to respect Kingsley and to give him props for being able to live with that. But it all works out in the end, happy ending for all. 4.5/5 Hearts of Love

The Original Sinners: The White Years series gets better and better. The White Years series is so addicted that you will count the days until you get the next release. You will read so fast that it will not know that your at the end until you see the last page. We get read about the sinfully and sexy man- Kingsley. Kingsley is just totally hot that you will get hook into him from the first page. Kingsley is definitely finding his self that you will get to read how he create his empire. You will definitely see to read about Sam and how meaningful Sam was to Kingsley. Sam is just Sam that I want to keep her in my pocket. Everyone need Sam in his or her life. Those two are meant to be best friends forever. We also get to read about how in love Kingsley was to Soren. Their interaction between them is so passionate and hilarious that you just want to continue reading about their conversation. You will totally love this book that you just want to read the next book to the series.
