L’histoire était cool mais bordel que la forme est laborieuse. Le parti pris est intéressant mais ohlala c’était pénible à lire, y a plein de scènes que je ne comprenais même pas tellement c’était fouillis.

A fun, fast paced homage to slasher films written in screenplay format with all the fan favorite tropes and plot twists. 
You do need to read this like you're watching slasher film. Accept the lack of information/explanation.
If you are a horror fan like SGJ then this is for you. The gore is amazing, the humor is spot-on, and there’s a turtle.

Once again, not what I was expecting when I started this book! I was drawn to this book because I'd heard great things about the author and the cover is striking, not to mention my draw to reading books with the words "final girl" in the title. 
It's written like watching a movie. Like, the paragraph breaks, the terminology, the way the dialogue is written. It's so good though, even if it was a little cheesy. 
It's supposed to embody like, a classic, cheesy, 80's horror film, and it really delivers that. There were some things that seemed a little "out of character" for someone in those movies, especially the actual final girl, but that didn't throw me off too much.

I've had this one in my TBR pile for ages and I'm happy to have finally given it my full attention. I really liked it in parts although it never really caught on for me. The Last Final Girl has an interesting concept that really reminds me of another book with a close title, unfortunatley. I had a bit of a time getting into the novel's writing style but I'd be curious to watch a movie inspired by this one.
