WHAT A RIDE. This was a fantastic sequel to what was a fun first installment, & truly lived up to the thriller genre! 

This book moves Tess more from the territory of 'fixing' problems at Hardwicke to predominantly political thriller that is a continuation of the conspiracy unearthed in the first book. There were so many great twists & intense moments that made it impossible to put down! 

Asher, Vivvie, Emilia, & Henry continue to be brilliant characters alongside Tess. I adore them all and, while there wasn't a lot in terms of character development for some of them, I enjoyed every second they were around. The gripping plot bands them together and tears them apart and I need more more MORE.

These books aren't big on the romance (woo!) but the hints we had of romance in the first book reappeared here and...had a SERIOUSLY interesting twist. Barnes makes you wait until near the end for it but omggggggggggggggggggggggggggggg & the ending was so open & so many things unresolved jeSUS

Honestly, the only bad thing I can say about this book is that the cover is not visually appealing to me. If the first book hadn't been brilliant, I may not have continued solely based on this cover BECAUSE I AM JUST THAT SHALLOW. So word to the publisher, do better next time! THERE BETTER BE A NEXT TIME I NEED MORE TESS KENDRICK.

Such a good and fast pace read. So many twists and turns that shocked me. It does deal with terrisom but overall i loved seeing these characters again and loved learning more about these characters. These story was much more complex and overall so a cool read. I can't wait to see what happens next.

Wow! Another amazing book by Jennifer Lynn Barnes. Tess Kendrick is once again in the center of controversy as she becomes the target of a politically connected bully at her school who tries to use student council elections as a way to hurt the people that Tess cares about. When the bully is killed on school grounds on the same day that someone attempts to assassinate the president and a terrorist bomb goes off at a local hospital, Tess quickly realizes that all these events are connected. There are some very surprising twists in this story along with lots of action and intrigue as well as a little bit of romance. My only minor complaint about this book was that it took some time to get reacquainted with the characters and relationships, but by the middle of the book, most of that had been cleared up. I read recently that this is to be the last book in the Fixer Series. There has to be a way to change that because the character of Tess Kendrick Keyes should never be allowed to lie dormant. There are several questions left unanswered at the end of The Long Game that beg for another story to be told
