The Eagles song 'Hotel California' should sponsor this book. Serously, I had that song in my head the whole time reading this. The Lost is a quite original fantasy book. The concept itself seems like a metaphor for being lost. But add some interesting, well written characters and a good plot and you have the amazing story this is. The characters and their stories are very well rounded. I loved Lauren and I felt like I connected with her. Peter remainded me of the love interest in a ya/na book, all brooding and mysterious and sexy. But more mature and intelligent. My only problem with this book is the ending. It'd have been easily developed in a few more pages instead of a cliffhanger. And know I probably will never know how the story continues 'cause the other two books are not being published. Or so I read. Anyway, I really liked this book. It's an entertaning and original story.
