um this book?? was absolutely beautiful. it was my second time reading it, but I forgot everything that happened. I loved the characters in this book, don't think I can explain why tho. and the letters that lily & abelard wrote to each other 😭! I really loved this book for what it was (aka a beautiful piece of art.)

3 stars | I have a bit of a problem with this book. It's not bad, but it's not good either. The representation is great (own voice author!) and Lily is a beautiful little cinnamon roll with a vibrant personality and debilitating ADHD. After breaking the vinyl wall separating two classes, she falls in love with Abelard, the boy who she hit with she was 5 (LOL) and has Asperger. I love the idea, but the writing was a little weak, IMO. Lily reads like she's 12 and it gets annoying at times. Also, why did she have to reference to her ADHD (because - ADHD) in pretty much every pages? 

Overall, I'm glad I read it, but I was probably too old to fully enjoy this novel. It had so much potential and I was expecting a little bit more.

An amazing love story between two teenagers, one with ADHD and the other on the autism spectrum. A shared love of classic literature and being perfectly imperfect bring two people together who are in need of unconditional love and support. I loved Lily's journey of self-acceptance, self-love, and compassion for herself. A wonderful reminder that there are really people out in the world for us perfectly imperfect people.
