Very delectable period romance. The beginning was laughingly ridiculous, I can’t put my finger on why it seemed so ill-researched and atrocious but I was entertained nonetheless and continued reading to find much romantic substance and well-written but not too drawn-out steamy parts. The astronomy professor/student portion toward the end I found especially titillating. Could hardly put this one down and finished it in 7 hours.

It's Bridgerton meets Love Hypothesis, including the good and the cringe from both. But still a fun historical romance with lots of yearning and steamy scenes.

I liked it. 
I've put off reading this because the synopsis was vague and I like to know what I'm getting into. This book is strange in that the only plot is the coming together of the two leads. There's no side plot, no additional romance. It's just about them. It was a refreshing change. 

I liked the personalities of Felix and Louisa. I really liked how they fit perfectly together. There's a line in the book about how they're both miscreants in a room full of good people and only they know. Which perfectly sums up their thing. 
I loved the back-and-forth between the two, constantly trying to outmaneuver and outsmart. It reminded me slightly of Lord of Scoundrels in that way. The chemistry/passion between the two is obvious and made perfectly clear. 

The only reason it's not 5 stars is because of the dragging on of the angst in the second half. I thought things should've resolved a little quicker. 

I'm not sure if it's a reread; maybe if I have a particular thought about the plot. I won't read the next in the series, the lead characters don't interest me. But I'll read more of Sherry Thomas.
