It felt so good to be back in this world/these worlds! It was interesting to see everything from Alice's POV! I hope they continue with this story, as it would be fascinating ti see what Alice was up to during book 2 and her POV of book 3.

Alice is a teenager with magical abilities. Soon she becomes one of the students of Brakebills College for Magical Pedagogy. She is one of the top students in her class together with the other two boys Penny and Quentin. Together they become friends and as they spend more time together they got closer. Everything changes when love is being involved and Alice chooses one of them. They went separate ways and the friendship didn't exist anymore. Everything changes after graduation when all three of them meets again in unlucky circumstances. They found their way to the hidden world named Fillory that until this time was known only as a fiction world inside the book. The story has two parts: at school and after graduation. First, of them, I liked and enjoyed more than the other. The story was very interesting but the characters were a little bit too naive and a hypocrite. I tried to understand what lead them to make their decisions but most of the time I couldn't. It's not a bad thing though because it made it real. They are young and they don't actually know what they want from life. They don't want to stuck in one place but also they are afraid of changes.

**I received a copy of this via Netgalley in exchange for an honest review** I really liked this. I'm a huge fan of The Magicians series, and I'm super glad to have something from Alice's perspective. She's such a strong, complicated character, and this really shows a different side to her power that the original material didn't fully touch upon. I also liked how it seemed to follow the books a bit more than the TV show. Aside from being a great story, the artwork is really nice and lush. I'd definitely recommend this to anyone who's a fan of the series because it's a wonderful addition to the story.

I haven't read the series itself yet, but after reading the graphic novel, I'm excited to pick up the books. The beginning felt a bit disconnected between years and events and it felt like there were important parts missing from the story. The artwork is fitting for the genre, if you like it a bit dark and gothic-themed. Thank you Netgalley for providing me with a copy.

Note: I received an ARC of this book from NetGalley. I hope that posting the review now won't be an issue. I thought this was a lovely book. It was short, but the writing was great and the art is gorgeous. It's strange, because the reason a book has a specific narrator or point of view is because their perspective is the most interesting. As such, I wasn't sure if having Alice's story would be up to par with the original series. However, I thought it was quite a fun read, and it filled in some details that made the characters even more interesting. I recommend this book to anyone who has read the original series.
