The Marriage Effect A Marriage of Convenience Sports Romance

Logan Ward doesn't want any more women in his life.Being a football player and legal guardian to his four younger sisters means his playbook is full. However, one of them just landed in the hospital, which gives his brother the shot he needs to challenge Logan for custody.Legal counsel says there's only one thing Logan can do-find himself a wife.Paige McKinney doesn't always think things through.Like walking away from her modeling career without a thought of what might come next. She really doesn't think it through when she proclaims herself Logan's fiancé at the hospital, simply because the sexy-albeit grumpy-football player forgot his cell phone at a party and security won't let her pass. It's not her fault it was overheard by the worst possible person.A bargain is struck, and a fake marriage is the perfect solution. But the simple solution creates a whole new problem: they're not as different as they seem. The reluctant groom has fire inside him, and his impetuous bride is about to light the match.

“ I don’t do casual, and the second you bare your body to me, the second I get my hands on you like I’ve imagined a thousand times, the second you take me in, it’s you and me, you got it?”

God I loved this book. It was so cute but I wish there was more spice.

One of my favorite marriage of convenience stories along with found family and mended broken hearts through love! Omg the Ward sisters have their own love stories toooo!! I'm so excited to read about Molly and the neighbor boy, Noah! And Isabel's too! Okay the circumstances that brought Paige and Logan together in the marriage was unrealistic maybe it was just fate! literally right place at the right time lol While You Were Sleeping/Sandra Bullock style (WWSBD - what would Sandra Bullock Do?) I love the relationship development in this book, especially between Paige and Isabel. When I was reading the whole "you deserve someone who’ll take on the devil for you" scene where Isabel broke down and also the scene where Isabel defended Paige against Nick, I was trying so hard not to cry in a bus full of people lol Notable quotes by Paige that signified beautiful character growth driven by her newfound love for Logan and his sisters <3 "Sometimes, I woke up, and everything around me felt stale and musty. That I always hit a point in a job, or an apartment, or a city, or a person, and I desperately needed to fling open the proverbial windows of my life and let in a fresh, bracing breeze." (Ch. 2) such Sagittarius vibes ->>>>>> "for the first time, I’ve found a place that doesn’t feel like a resting stop." (Ch. 24)

The Marriage Effect - Karla Sorensen

4.5 ⭐️

My favorite out of the series, holy guacamole.

Logan & Paige. LOGAN AND PAIGE. The pining, the lusting, the falling absolutely in love before saying it. I don’t want to spoil but GOD DANG.

  • fake marriage

  • marriage of convenience

  • one bed trope

  • sports romance 🏈

I LOVED IT SO MUCH I'M UGLY CRYING RIGHT NOW. THE ONLY REASON IT TOOK ME AWHILE TO FINISH IT IS BECAUSE I'M TRYING TO PROLONG THIS BOOK BECAUSE I DON'T WANT THIS SERIES TO END 😭

I picked this little gem up back in January for a buddy read but didn't make it too far into it before getting distracted by something else. (Totally me, not the book.) When I got back to it this month, I thoroughly enjoyed it. I do love a good "fake it till you make it" story and you know I'm a sucker for all the football things. It was a fun, sexy and sweet read.
