Q&D- great world building. Interesting premise. Funny. Excited to keep reading the series.

fthe positive of this book is it tried to bring a new outfit to the new world concept which is old as Edgar rice Burroughs and C.S Lewis

It's possible I might have liked this more if I read it when I was younger, but somehow I doubt it. I felt like the author was constantly rehashing events as a reminder for the reader, even if it only happened a couple of pages ago. The main plot line revolves around a really stupid mistake the MC makes, which he was blatantly warned against in the beginning. It just seemed really dumbed down. I think even as a kid I would have felt like I was being talked down to. A lot of things felt a little bit too convenient for my liking too... The characters were all extremely flat and I didn't really care for any of them, with the possible exception of Mark but he's pretty minor in the scheme of things. It's a bit disappointing because the premise for this series is so good and I have been wanting to get to them for years. I feel a bit let down. I may continue with the series just to see what happens, but I won't be in a hurry to get to it.

Review to come!

Such an imaginative and unique series with a good but fairly simple protagonist. I'm here for the world-building and the setting and some of the story mechanics. Amazing worlds, just truly incredible and so unique and thoughtful. It mirrors our life, but also puts entirely new spins on it. Loved to read every single story in this series and the conflicts and turning points. Great ideas in these novels. One of my fave series of all time.

really really poorly written.
