A good murder mystery set in the 1920’s. This book was good and had a pretty cool main character but it was nothing amazing. If you like murder mysteries set in the past then I think you should check this one out

I have wanted to read this book for a long time and finally my hold at the library became available. ⠀
The story is super intriguing and I absolutely love how all the small and big events come together in the end. It’s very Agatha Christie, I think. I like that the story is at times very descriptive and I like that it’s not fast paced. Things happen over several months which I feel makes the book better as the enables a certain air of mystery and questions that keep you hooked until the end. And I would never have guessed who the real murderer was. That was a total shock!⠀

The characters are all great but I absolutely love Louise and Guy. I wish more of their relationship was revealed at the end but maybe I’ll get to read about their romance in the next book in the series. ⠀

All in all, a great historical mystery and I can’t wait to read more books in the series

Loved this! I was drawn to it because I'd read Love in a Cold Climate and the Pursuit of Love a zillion years ago, and I was excited to read about the Mitfords. It's not necessarily Mitford-centered, but that may be a good thing because it's a mystery, and the Mitfords were real. According to the author, it's based on a murder that happened, and I'm curious about that now. Looking forward to the second in the series, and I hope there will be many!
