           I definitely enjoyed this one more than the first book, probably because we got POV switches. The introduction of Marina’s character as Number 7 showed how different every Loric’s life has been, along with their cêpans. But boy those cêpans are really dropping like flies. I think Six and John are absolutely perfect together because I DIDNT LIKE SARAH FROM THE JUMP!!! I mean come on…a small town ex cheerleader turned indie photography nut with a heart of gold??? Bye. AND THAT BETRAYAL?!?? I hope we see her again so Six can kick her ass. All I know is my boy Sam better not be left out to dry in the love department. And NINE….I was wondering when we’d be introduced to a bad boy. Way more mysteries getting solved in this book, highly satisfying.

First-off, the fat-shaming in this one was incredibly disappointing and unnecessary. I guess this is an older series so there was less awareness 10 years ago, but considered yourself forewarned if you read this book.

I enjoyed it about as much as the first, it's enjoyable enough to listen casually as an audiobook, but it's not amazing. The action kind of bores me still, but it was a bit more creative in this one as more legacies are used. I can't help but feel there's not a lot of substance here and it would work a lot better as an action movie with impressive effects. As a book it doesn't have a lot to offer. I guess maybe a young YA/older MG audience would get a lot more out of this as long as they can enjoy the sci-fi battles as the main course.

I think I'm still going to continue with the series for as long as I can provided my library has the copies but good lord I would never pay money for this series.

I'm kind of disappointed because I thought this book was going to be better than the first one in the series. It was pretty good, I have to admit that. But it wasn't as good as I though it would be.
The plot was pretty good. We got to find out more about Six's character and she's SO COOL. I love her. Another thing I love about this book is Marina. I don't know even know why I like her so much because from what I've read so far on the internet, I realized that she's probably the most hated and underrated character in the series, and I can't see why because she's sweet and kind and brave. I love the fact that half of this book was related from her point of view because.. in the first book, I practically felt like I was trapped inside John's head and I can't say I liked his way of thinking .. at least, not at first.
This book was okay but not awesome, like I expected it to be. The pacing was really slow and I just wanted to quit reading it because it was boring But I decided to keep reading, hoping it will get better. And it did.. sort of. There is a lot of action in this book but it's not as exciting as it should be. I honestly didn't feel like I was there, being a part of it, as I was supposed to be. Because that's what happens when you read a good book, right ? You feel like you are there, next to the characters.. Doing what they do, feeling what they feel. But I just couldn't. I think I should blame the writing for that. Oh, another thing that bothers me. Sarah. I hated her from the very first page, I don't know why. Maybe it was because I watched the movie first and I hated Dianna Agron and how she played Sarah's character. But she was such an idiot in this book. And she betrayed John, that bitch. Ugh, how I hate her. Okay, now let's talk about John and Six being together. I just can't see them as a couple even though they are both great characters, especially Six, and they would make a great couple. Seriously, I love them but I just don't see them together. I was kind of picturing John with Marina. I don't know, I just think they would be great together. All I can do is root for them and hope that they will end up together eventually. 
And (OH MY GOD !) Adelina died. Hector died. Why does every good character in the series have to die ? Seriously, I loved them both, especially Hector. The author shouldn't have killed him. But who am I to judge, right ? 
 Anyway, I really hope they make a movie out of this book because I sure as hell think that it would look so much better on-screen. Plus, I loved the first movie and I'm sure the ones who made it happen could make a hell of a movie out of this book because it has real potential. The first movie was awesome. Way better than the book. Let's just hope they turn this book into a movie.

I am very thankful that Lore chose to split the narrative between John and Seven mainly because the portion of the narrative under the narration of Seven was marginally more tolerable that the portion that remained under John's narrative. One of the things that caused me to roll my eyes more than once was the romance/love triangle aspect for John. Give it a rest already.
On the other hand, the split between the narratives lacked connection to each other until almost the very end. These seemingly unconnected narratives left much to be desired. The deus ex machina appearance of another Lorian character at the end of the book also confirmed my decision to leave this series after the second book. I have no desire to read further.
The underlying idea could have been great. However, Lore fell prey to many of the cliché pitfalls of the genre.

After reading I am Number Four I was super excited to read The Power of Six. So you can imagine my excitement when I managed to get an ARC of this.I was honestly doing a happy dance when my postman delivered it. However, when I started reading it I was very disappointed until about the last 100 pages then I really enjoyed it.

The Power of Six follows two different stories. It starts of with Marina, number Seven who lives in an Orphanage in Spain. She has been there for a while with her Cespian. However, her Cespain has lost sight in their gal and refuses to acknowledge anything do to with Lorien. We also still get to follow John (number Four), Sam and number Six on the run from the police and Mogadorians.


As I said I loved I am Number Four so I had really high expectation for this novel. I am Number Four was an explosive novel full of action and sadly The Power of Six was no where near as good. I found the story rather boring if I'm honest. I found the storyline very slow that it honestly took me two weeks to read. I just couldn't get in to the story I think it was the changing in POV. I am not the biggest fan to having more than one POV in a story and this really confused me alot. So for me that really slowed thing down.The story line wasn't up to much. I kept waiting for something really exciting to happen and it wasn;t until the last 100pages or so that the story really picked up and got super exciting and full of action.

The characters I didn't really connect with them in this book. They are all still strong characters but I just couldn't get into their heads to like them that much. Especially Marina, I wasn't really looking forward to reading her story to start with because it was taking me away from John and his story but I did like how on a few occassion they two stories overlap and its pretty cool. We also get to hear Six's story. I really like Six I think she is the best character in the story. And I loved that there is the beginning of love triangle between Six, John and Sam so I am looking forward to seeing how that turns out especially since John is already with Sarah.

Even though I wasn't into the story until near the end I am still really excited for the next book as the ending is just fantastic. Those last 100 pages made the book. Full of action which I love and the actual ending is like OMG I need the next book.

A lot of things happened in this book, we get a lot more information about certain characters and the history of the planet Lorien. I think this book was even better than the first because we got to see two people's POVs which linked in really nicely towards the end. I can't wait to read the next book! :)
