This book was a reminder that prisoners are humans, too. 
I disagree with a few reviews here saying the writing is not the best, I liked it :) It was so captivating. It was easy for me to imagine how everything looked, and a few times, my eyes got watery because she described the stories of her life so well. I felt like I was in the room with her! 🥹

I was shocked at a lot of things that Doc told us, how desperate people are for a way of escape. I'm happy there's people like Amanda with so much passion to help others and see through the crimes they have committed.

Bit of a messy review, I know! 😀
