This follows 3 women who met in their young teens in a boarding school. A traffic thing happened to one of the girls that makes it pretty obvious the whole time but doesn’t get fully acknowledged till about 80% through. The girls swore each other to secrecy about this specific night but as grown women I felt like it was a little ridiculous. One of the girls came across very immature at times. She sounded like she was a teenager and had anxiety that would make her freak out and say things that didn’t sound like an adults thought process or reaction. They’re were times where I just wanted her to stop talking. The main character was the only one who seemed to have it together and she didn’t because she had her own experience. 
I think I’ve just read too many mysteries and this one was just not up to par and didn’t have anything special to differentiate it and make it recommend worthy.

           Teresa Driscoll's writing is amazing however this book wasn't the best it was simply lacking the element of surprise or thriller - since it was one. The story was just about 3 friends and one of them gets pregnant and the baby dies then they bury the baby under a tree and that's it...and some chapters about how each character felt.

This book is about Beth who is trying to forget the secrets of her past and live in the present with her husband and two children. When she finds out that the boarding school she attended is being closed down she tries to reach out to her two best friends from school, terrified that their big secret will be revealed when they demolish the school. After strangle and startling occurrences start happening in her life she fears that someone else knows about their secret and is trying to get back at them. 

I made it about 70% of the way through this book and then called it quits. The buildup to the big secret the two girls are hiding was so big and the way it was eating Beth alive so bad I knew it had to be something good. But I was so way off. The way Beth was acting and she even hired a dang private investigator to try and find her other friend I thought maybe they had murdered someone and buried their body on the school grounds. Nope, it wasn’t really all that exciting. Don’t get me wrong what they did was absolutely terrible but I figured the way the two main characters were acting that it would directly impact their lives, when in reality it really didn’t. 

Such a disappointment for me this book was. I hate books that hype you up that much and then when the big mystery is revealed it’s a total dud.
