This book was so good huge age gap but it genuinely wasn’t creepy still confused abt everything with the stepdaughter but it was srsly so good And his control was freakishly hot Anyway I just thought it was super good just enough angst and cute moments and ahhh loved it

Whew, who knew I would come to love Macalister Hale after his actions in the previous book. Of course, it’s a reminder that perspective is everything and Nikki Sloane wields that change of perspective like a knife. Loved this book, it fanned the flames of my ever present age gap obsession. Nikki Sloane doesn’t miss.

DADDY MACALISTER!!! Aahhhhhh What can I say? I’m in love with this man and I want to have his children. Can I leave it at that... or no? Okay fine fine fine. Ugh where do I start? Macalister has been my cup of tea since the very beginning. The temptation, allure, assertiveness, confidence, dominance and seduction of him? God I mean what else can a girl ask for really. His character was so complex from the start not many would have liked him but I did because he had so much more depth than just being an overbearing father, billionaire CEO & boss. He lost his wife and had to raise 2 growing boys on his own, that alone take quite a bit of patience, control & will power which he did an amazing job at. Having come back into the fold after being away for 2 years I really didn’t know where this story would go. I wasn’t really a fan of Sophia but I quite liked her a lot in this book for Macalister. She brought out so much in him and very well changed his whole life in a short amount of time. The steam? Fuck OUT OF THIS WORLD. But I expected nothing less from Nikki she’s the queen of smut and HEAT. FIVE OUT OF FIVE STARS. READ THIS SHIT.

3.5 ⭐️ Genre: Adult romance Age group : 18+ POV : Dual Characters: 5/5 ⭐️ Plot: 4.5/5 ⭐️ Setting/Themes: 5/5 ⭐️ Writing: 5/5 ⭐️ • please check trigger warnings • mature language, drugs, graphic sexual scenes • age gap romance • CEO/assistant Phewy, we’ll that was …. Nice. Before I delve into the characters, I must say I loved this quite a lot. The luxurious, scandalous and rich setting of the story was a definite appeal to me. The storyline was pretty cool too, ngl. Sophia. Headstrong, brave, intelligent and strategic. I love my women to be slightly manipulative that it could be passed off as strategic. Sophia’s brain = chef’s kiss. She’s also super funny, and her witty remarks amused me. Macalister. See I love powerful, the kind with not just the money and position, but the demanding and compelling aura and presence. I also liked how he changed for the better (fitting book title,no?) it was interesting really, to see how his mind works. I’m convinced the rich are just strategic by default. Overall, I enjoyed this a lot. I would’ve loved to see more diverse characters, and not have the only POC character be such a minor part of the story. Fun and steamy read.

It's been months and I still think about this book and how much I loved it. The age gap, the anti-hero, the heroine, it was all PERFECT. I love this series so much. The chemistry between the two was fantastic and this was an excellent new entry into a series that was already one of my favorites!
