this book cracked open my mind to numerous deconstructions of identity, disability and neo-colonialism. debilitation, as one of the main theories explored here, details how the global south has been restricted from practicing politics of liberation, from developing social mobility, justice and resource sovereignty, because our bodyminds are controlled and manipulated for the benefit of western empires' continued extraction and exploitation. the 'right' circumstances create certain repressive outputs: physiological and material occupation, conditioned scarcity, censorship, diplomatic affairs.
