A quick gripping story. Kind of need to suspend some disbelief but not a bad story at all. The end was pretty rushed in my opinion, but I can see why the author might have dont that from a style point, It kind of mimics how that situation might have felt from Brians POV. By that point he was very fragile and his awareness was declining rapidly, he wouldn't be capable of experiencing most of his own rescue. I wish there was a little bit more of a resolution with Dereck. "You must settle, in your mind. There are some fights you cannot win..." I loved this quote.
