The Road to Grace

This wasn't as good as the others since there was less time spent on friendships/other people and more time with Alan being alone on his trek. Much of this read like a travel book. I suspect I'm not the only one who tired of hearing what each hotel/motel cost, because there's far less of that in the next book which I'm reading now. This isn't to say there aren't any important connections, but I preferred the previous two books. Also about all of these towns Evans and his daughter saw when they drove through this area. The research is impressive, naturally, but how it's used is also important.

Alan sets off from the end of the last book where he was nearly half-way through his journey. The blurb gives enough information. Although there is a tiny bit of recap, it's better to read this books in order.
