Fast paced thriller weaved with Russian history and imagination. A bit formulaic, but thoroughly entertaining and informative.

I thoroughly enjoyed especially the first two parts of the book. The whole premise of “but what if the tsar is brought back in Russia” was intriguing enough to be an instant buy. The mystery was nice to read, the characters well developed, and the ending a tense showdown between the main players. Unfortunately, the action was non-stop, which made the ending feel to me like a “yet another shoot down Miles will no-doubt miraculously survive”. Honestly, I just got a little tired of the non-stop shootings, but that’s more of a preference thing. The book was well researched and well written so definitely one I can recommend!
