I thought the beginning of the book was very strong but then it slowly went downhill. The romance was my least favorite part and seriously made me consider stopping the book.

This was an awesome book! In this novel we follow Kelsey who for her whole entire life has lived in fear. When her mother was a teen she was kidnapped, ever since then her mother has been determined to keep Kelsey safe. Until one night when Kelsey comes home to find her mother missing. I highly recommended this it kind of gives off "panic room" vibes (the movie) when we actually get to the main plot it mostly takes place in the house and is pretty climactic !!! I

A really well-written thriller that had me interested from the very beginning. The twist wasn't super "twisty", but I still really liked the pace of the book.

I enjoyed this one, but unfortunately it was nothing special. The best part was the middle one, where all the action took place. The ending was quite underwhelming, imo. I really enjoyed the writing style though. Maybe I'll check out other books by this author.

When I first started reading the book, I thought for sure that I would give it a 4 star rating. I could barely put the book down and get some sleep each night...at first. Then things became repetitive. Miranda kept teasing even more reveals, kept going back and forth on who the characters really were. The fact that Kelsey could change her opinion of Ryan back and forth, or perhaps not really change her opinion - Miranda did not make that clear enough - so quickly just based on verbal accusations from others made me wonder.
I still enjoyed the book, I just think that Miranda dragged the suspense out too long and stretched the suspension of disbelief just a little too far.
