The Scarecrow of Oz

While the original film captured the magic and wonder of the Land of Oz, subsequent installments have struggled to recapture that sense of joy and discovery. The plots tend to feel repetitive, treading similar narrative ground. This particular entry also seems to contradict previously established lore about there being no wicked witches left in Oz after the events of the first movie, where Glinda was proclaimed the sole remaining witch. Unless I'm missing some key detail, this discrepancy is puzzling for fans of the franchise's established mythology. While the films strive to expand the richly-imagined world, they haven't quite lived up to the inventiveness and charm of the 1939 classic that started it all.
