Maybe 3.5? My main issues with this were really the Wickham plot adaptation and the pacing--everything in the last 60 pages or so felt really quick, whereas the first 250 or so pages had been pretty steady and drawn out. I also think the age of the book--this is what might want to be called "new adult," in between teen and gen fiction?--really hampered the execution. Half the time I felt like Megan was too young for this book (she's 20/21, but reads like she's 16?). Worth reading for Ann, though. I love Ann.

3.5 actual stars. It was a good fluff read. I think the character ages, overall situation (the debut), and the character actions did not mix. It was trying to be young adult with character and situations in their adult ages. It can be done, but it didn't come together here. However it was enjoyable for a quick skim read. It was also fun to try to match the Pride and Prejudice references.
