           I just want to thank the author for not killing any of the main important characters, bc that would’ve made me ball my eyes out. The romance subplot was also perfectly executed (the cell scene has got to be one of the most romantic things i’ve ever read). I’d give it a 5 stars if only vargan didn’t die that easily, it was a bit disappointing.

The Ascendance Trilogy has easily moved into the position of one of my favorite series to date. BECAUSE SASS. AND JARON. AND ALLLL THE CHARACTERS EVER. <333 

It took me a long time to get into this one. There were lots of battles, which are #notmything, but the characters completely won me over yet again. And the ending was just MINDBLOWINGLY EPIC. (The last 20 pages, though. O.O) I'm a very impressed little bookdragon here. (Even if I *did* guess one thing. ;D)

All in all, I LOVED this book and this whole series. GO READ IT NOW, PEOPLE. *throws series in your face*

I've noticed a few people dragging this one for not being as good as the first one and/or the first two, but personally I thought it was a fitting conclusion to the storyline? I dunno, maybe it's just that I wasn't overly impressed by the first two to begin with, so this one felt like an appropriate continuation of the things that were present in those. This one did lay on the torment 'n' torture a little thick but let's be real, my sadistic ass is here for that lmao, and there was a lot of uhhh... contrived nonsense? (view spoiler)[(The dam? REALLY? THE AVENIANS DIDN'T SEE THAT ONE COMING???) (hide spoiler)]
But to keep this one short and simple, I really don't have much to say except this was a fun ride, I enjoyed the plot twists even when they were a bit silly, and the story did manage to surprise me in a few ways.
