This is filled with stories and stuff that helped me understand the Mortal Instruments/Infernal Devices series. Plus it had me laughing at several points (Simon's footnotes were the best).

i liked this more than i thought i would, actually. i enjoyed the commentary and the illustrations were amazing but everything else was just kind of boring. some parts were more interesting than others but i did end up skimming through a lot of it because i kind of just wanted to be done with it. 3.25 stars

I loved just how packed with lore this book was even colored by the Clave's ... Unique point of view. The added commentary from Clary, Simon, and Jace made it particularly funny and entertaining to read. The art inside and on the interior covers was absolutely gorgeous. Overall, I really enjoyed it and would recommend it for anyone who enjoyed the initial series.

I had fun reading this, it was fun to get more insight in the shadow hunter world. I liked the details where ‘Clary’, ‘Simon’, and ‘Jace’ had little notes, it made me feel like I was reading something they had read. And I enjoyed the artwork, they were done really good

I love how we were able to read and learn almost everything, most of the things I wanted to know where explained here. Cassie thank you for all you've done. really thank you

*2.5 After so many years I finally got around to reading this, and I can now say that it wasn’t all that great. It would be useful if you wanted to learn more about the history of the Shadow world, but to be honest most of the information in it is in the actual Shadowhunter novels. I liked that there annotations by some of the characters. I thought it was a nice touch. Overall, didn’t really enjoy this that much. I see this book more as a collector’s item if anything else.

I flipped through this quickly. I enjoyed reading Clary, Simon, Magnus, and Jace's notes. They made me laugh.

I had a great time reading this book. It was very intresting learning more about this world and the comments from the character's were great. I genuily laughed out loud a couple of times. The illustrations throughout this book were just gorgeous. I could look at them forever. I loved that this was written like it is actually apart of the world. I don't know if that makes sense if you haven't read this yet, but if you are familiar with this world, it might. This book was just a great experience and I'd recommend it for every shadowhunter fan.

the history parts were really boring but to be fair I've always hated history. otherwise it was good jonathan and david gay

Only fans of the Shadowhunter's Universe will like this book.

I've read this little by little, so much information, and it's so unique to have a book, that the characters had as well. I enjoy things like that, and I enjoy all the interesting things that came inside this book.

This book is an interring add on the shadowhunter books. You don't need to read this book to get the adder books by Clare.

Very informational!! If your looking for more info on the World of Shadowhunters, well, this book would be it!!!
