The Silent and the Damned

Mario Vega is seven years old and his life is about to change forever. In Seville, his father lies dead on the kitchen floor and his mother has been suffocated to death. Inspector Jefe Javier Falcon has doubts about the inference that it is a suicide pact. When he investigates, he received threats from the Russian mafia, and the Vega's neighbours have shady pasts. Then two more suicides follow - one a senior policeman - and a forest fire rages through the hills above Seville obliterating all in its path.
