Introductory fun and informative. If you want to understand why we crave for storytelling, and its purposes in our life, start with this book. Very well written, quick to read and easy to grasp the meanings behind some complex theories.

There are some ideas that I don't agree with Gottschall. Some of these he even contradicts himself in the book. Then for final chapter on the future of storytelling I believe it was written in a rush, with too little thought and evidence support. But I'll analyse all that in depth in my blog review soon.

I had to read this for uni and at first I thought I would not like it, but it was surprisingly good! the author makes some interesting points and I did not even want to put the book down!! Also, such a fast reading. 4-4.5/5*
