Super cute and easy read! Love the character development and the honesty between them. Feels like a nice hug!

Okay this one just didn’t do it for me like the others, but I still really liked it. I love a plus size FMC and how much the MMC loves it. I really enjoyed the different cultural backgrounds that tied into it and the acknowledgment of how hard that actually was. After years of working at a brewery it was neat reading a story with hops wrapped around it. 

(This one has so much less spicy than the others? Am I just tripping?)

Oh, this was such a sweet romance book. I loved how Rachel and Mason helped each other heal and the hotel sounds amazing. It truly made me happy every time I picked it up. Just adorable.

Everything about this book was good but the end was sorta weird? idk im writing this review late but I feel like they wouldn't just leave each other like that.

I initially rated this as 3 stars but after reflecting more I'm going to round it up to 4. I'm a sucker for a small-town love story. I enjoyed the body positivity, healthy co-parenting, and the little interior design and brewery aspects. I'm not totally sure I'd read it again but I definitely enjoyed it!

This was a really cute book and it had more romance in it than I originally thought which was a nice surprise. Seeing Rachel's journey was very interesting and I adore the romance between her and Mason but I feel like I needed more of an ending. When I got to the acknowledgements it just felt like the book had a very abrupt ending.

this book is so sweet!! i love love love reading about rachel and maisie integrating into kelley island. i know i say this with every book with single parent trope but maisie's the best kid and i love reading how she worked herself in mason's heart.

the only reason i'm not giving this five star is the (view spoiler)[child custody subplot. the build up to it was nice but it fell flat in the end. i felt like the way it was resolved is unrealistic. (hide spoiler)]

This was pretty lackluster and I'm sad I didn't enjoy it more—considering the fact that it has so many raving reviews and it was recommended by a friend. 

I couldn't get into the story and almost halfway through and I hadn't formed any form of connection to the characters. I felt detached and while reading, my mind would wander off the book for minutes at a time. 

I liked the representation and this play on the city-girl-and-reclusive-boy trope, but it was missing something.

That's not to say this was bad, but I didn't like it. The plot is solid and as far as I remember,  the characters were lovely.

After a sexual assault by a customer at the luxury hotel where she works, Rachel Beck is fired because the customer is friends with the owner.  Desperate for work, Rachel takes the advice of a friend and contacts Mason Brown who owns a brew hotel on an island in Ohio.  When she gets the job, she uproots her daughter and moves there, only to find that the hotel is nowhere near complete and Mason is withdrawn and grieving due to the death of his daughter and the divorce from his wife.  Rachel quickly realizes that she may have taken on a bigger challenge than she intended.

The Suite Spot is a tender romance about two people struggling to find happiness in a world that seems to be denying it for both of them.  Both main characters are well developed and it is easy to root for them as they navigate through life's challenges.  Even though there isn't much conflict in this book, and the path toward love is a gentle one, the plot manages to hold the interest of the reader right up to the very end.  Overall, The Suite Spot is an enjoyable romance with sympathetic characters and a serene plot.

About a year ago, I fell in love with the romance book Float Plan by Trish Doller. After reading that I was ready to set sail and leave my life behind (until I realized I can't swim and have a fear of water. And strangers. Good thing stories like this exist). I was so excited when I found out that Anna's sister, Rachel, was due for her own story with The Suite Spot!

This book is out Tuesday, March 8th, so get ready to run to your local bookstore if you haven't yet preordered.

I loved this story from start to finish, and that is saying a lot because I came in with very high expectations. While Anna’s story was filled with adventure and something I could never do, Rachel’s story could be any of us brave enough to pick up our life and start fresh. Although starting fresh comes with all those bumps that happen along the way.

Mason, who is Rachel’s boss, is a surprising male lead in that I didn’t think I would fall for him the way I did by the end of the book. The cast of characters from Rachel’s new life were so adorable, I wished I could live there and have my kids grow up there. I also loved how close Rachel's family is, in the sense that Rachel began to understand Anna's actions more closely after the death of her significant other, and how her mom was always there to help out.

One of the things mentioned in the Acknowledgements was that due to the pandemic, the novel became one that was a comfort read, and that is what this felt like. Something to curl up with at night and see how Rachel and Mason were doing.
