absolutely crazy ! went from regular mystery to supernatural mystery and i ate it up! points off for being confusing, making the 17 year old and 23 year old be in a relationship, and for not explaining the ghost.

I really liked the way the book was structured and the use of different graphical styles and images throughout. It was a very entertaining book with some nice gory imagery to boot. My problem was that in the end the author was content with telling a great yarn and nothing else. Not that there is anything wrong with that per se, but that just means the book won't stay with me in any meaningful way. I would still recommend it for a vacation read if you just want a page-turner.

As soon as I read the blurb, I knew this was the kind of book for me, ghostly goings on, suspected suicide and some long lost relatives. I was immediately swept into the plot and I really enjoyed the unusual format of diary entries, voice recordings and articles. I never had a problem following the story and enjoyed the different perspectives. Without giving too much away, once things started slotting into place, with the introduction of characters and the following of clues, I really enjoyed it. I could clearly picture it as a Netflix series. I warmed to both Niamh and A. and especially Help and appreciated the humour woven through the book. Although I feel that the ending was a little rushed and too full of information, I wouldn't hesitate to read another book by Edgar Cantero, in fact, I hope there is a sequel. Overall a solid, supernatural adventure mystery.

So good! Did not see that ending coming and definitely a new twist on a haunted house with a ghost tale.

Interesting concept. Well written. Hmmm....
Not sure what to think of this because I thought it would be more horror in the supernatural sense and this was more syfy.
Would like to read Mr Cantero's next book!

I cannot say enough good things about this book! It tells the story of A., who inherits a mansion from his American cousin and decides to take up residence there with his friend in order to solve the mystery of his cousins mysterious suicide. The story is told through varied media forms - letters, transcripts, closed circuit cameras, etc. The story twists and turns as clues are discovered that lead to the grand finale. Oh, did I mention the book involves a secret society and ancient artifacts? So much fun!
