The Tea Dragon Tapestry
Reviews

What a lovely story with a lovely ending. This book teach me how to face fear, to face grief, to be brave and to love endlessly.
I really want to hug everyone in this book especially Ginseng. She deserve so much love.

Somehow this book is even greater than the first. I loved the diversity again because in this book we are introduced to characters using ASL. The art is beautiful and the messages are important and I am so sad I do not have a tea dragon. The characters in this story feel so much like a family and this whole series just makes me so happy. These are so worth it.

All of these books are very quiet and contemplative. They're about the ebb and flow of daily life, not the big moments. Sure, Greta's chance to apprentice with a master has the potential to be a big moment in her life, but how she gets there is still made of small steps. Kay O'Neill's illustrations are gorgeous and a do much of the narrative's heavy lifting. As this one is set in fall, the color palette is rich in warm colors. This book just calls out for being read by a cozy fire with a mug of something hot. http://pussreboots.com/blog/2022/comm...

The message that Katie O'Neill convey is truly beautiful and touching. I cry several times :'D

I don’t think I’ve ever wanted to live in a book more than this one.

I enjoyed reading the whole series. The ending was really heart-warming.

The Tea Dragon Tapestry is a lovely book by Katie O'Neill. They say don't judge a book by it's cover, but I totally did! The cover is absolutely stunning and drew all of my attention in when I saw it. Of course, then I read the description and found out more about the book, but that cover is attention grabbing! I love it! Bright oranges, reds and pinks all make for a really nice colour scheme. I also adore the cute, little dragons inside at the beginning of the book. So adorable! This is a great graphic novel for middle graders, YA fans and adults alike. It's a fun, fantastical read that will whisk you away to a magical land with dragons. I do wish I had read the previous two books in the series before grabbing this one, but it didn't affect my reading enjoyment too much. It more just made me super curious about the series, if anything. Overall, the Tea Dragons are adorable and magical and everything I want in a graphic novel! It was feel good, heart warming and a fun ride. Selfishly, I kind of hope there is a television adaptation because I'd love to watch these adorable guys too. Four out of five stars. Thank you to NetGalley and Oni Press for providing me a free copy of this book in exchange of an honest review.

so wholesome

3.8 Me gustó bastante, pero siento que es el menos interesante de los 3. Aún así me parece una monada. Amo las ilustraciones de estos libros, son tan vibrantes y vivaces que dan ganas de transportarse a ese mundo de magia.

I loved this conclusion to the series. This is such a beautiful graphic novel series, and probably my favorite. The illustrations are gorgeous, the color scheme is pretty, the story is so wholesome and touching, and the dragons are adorable. This appeals to a wide array of readers, from children to adults. It presents such great themes, lessons, and diversity. Highly recommend.

This series remains the most underrated serotonin booster in history. And this installment is certainly the best. The art style, the colors, the message, characters, world and plot are all well developed and take elements from its predecessors only to improve and build on them. Anyways, the things I would do to live in this world.

I adore this cozy series. We need more graphic novels, books, and media like this. This volume is essentially about growing and learning to live with grief. Katie O'Neill's art style is quite charming. I love the dreamy, cozy atmosphere and the soothing, pastel color palette. I love the wholesome characters and, most of all, the tea dragons. In fact, I think I'll go make some tea right now.

absolutely gorgeous art and heartfelt series, especially this last one. <3

dios lo amo

These books are so sweet and I never get tired of reading them! The art is stunning and the story is precious. I highly recommend reading this no matter what age you are. Check out the first two books, you won't regret it! This one comes out in September! Thank you to NetGalley and Oni Press for letting me read an advanced copy of this.

oh i’m crying !! with talks about finding yourself and the epilogue this was beyond sweet

“Everything that happens is part of your wholeness. The sadness, the loss, the hurt, as well as the joy, the love, the friendship--it is all part of your tapestry.“ With the love I felt towards the first two books, I was so scared that this one would not reach the levels of the first two but I was (thankfully) wrong. This one is my favourite of the three. This book especially dealt with the topic of grief, which i’m sure everyone can relate to at least somewhat. The way it’s done manages to both relate to the reader with the pain of grief and loss but also manages to provide a feeling of comfort and relief. These books just feel like you’re being hugged, a big comforting hug as you let go of everything that was hurting you. They’re truly perfect in every way.

"Everything that happens is part of your wholeness. ...remember, that you are already whole." The Tea Dragon series by Katie O'Neill ends with the Tea Dragon Tapestry, as per my understanding. And guess what? I don't want it to end; just thinking about it makes me sad. 📘 I want to know what happened with Greta and her apprenticeship. I want to know if Minette showed her finished tapestry to her parents and their response (is there any mystery, any hidden meaning behind it, some more significant cause). I want to know if Ginseng got back some of its joy and happiness after joining Greta in her new journey and new victories. There are so many questions I have, and no answer to any of them. Finally, I want to know how one can become a member of the Tea Dragon Society? 📘 So much love, care, friendship, help in hardship, warmth, and growth this lovely graphic novel radiates, it will be difficult to part ways with it. I will read the series over and over again; it is that close to my heart.

A cute conclusion to the series. Doesn't directly deal with it, but some of the themes could be interpreted to touch on depression and mourning.

Once again, Katie O'Neill has produced a beautiful and touching graphic novel that can't help but charm the reader. I loved the way O'Neill explored themes of grief and growth, of moving on from an old life and embracing a new one, and the fact that while these are universal experiences we all approach them differently and in our own time. Minette, Greta & Ginseng, and Kleitos are all facing new life experiences and new feelings about their old lives and all of them have to grapple with those changes in their own way. Like the other books in the Tea Dragon series, this book was quiet and soft and thoughtful. It's definitely a book that I will be coming back to time and again to appreciate the sense of calm and serenity that this book gives me.

the tea dragon novels are all magical and lovely (and they all make me crave tea)! the art for these books have always been wonderful, but i really appreciated seeing the growth in the illustration over the books: the result is an art style the most polished it has been throughout the series in this third book, every panel a treat for one's eyes. the tea dragon tapestry deals with topics of grief; losing and rediscovering one's passion, or the meaning they place unto themselves; and, as always, the bonds we've forged and the families we can find for ourselves. as always, even with topics that are not always the easiest to discuss, o'neill handles everything sensitively, and breaks down the messages that makes it easy for readers of all ages to digest and understand. also: really, really enjoyed the cameo rinn and aedhan had! they're still my favorite characters in the series and i was so happy to see them, to know they're doing well. now i'm going to brew myself some tea.

The art was freaking amazing obviously. I didn't enjoy the story quite as much though.

This book was beautifully written and designed! Hell the the whole series was a wonderful delight from start to finish. With magical characters and great storylines, and amazing lessons/words of wisdom that just make the story even more interesting. I can’t recommend this series enough, honestly I would recommend it for its artwork alone! Definitely recommend picking up yourself a copy on 27 October!

Perfect conclusion Beautiful and heartwarming conclusion to the series. I love love love this art style, and I love love love dragons. Especially these adorable tea dragons.
