The content of this book can NOT be missed. It is a must-read unless you desire to be a slave to your money for the entirety of your life. The 4 instead of 5 stars come from the fact that I don't always prefer Dave's writing/ preachy style.

This was the second time that I have read this book. I first read it right at the beginning of my journey to Financial Peace, before I had even had my emergency fund in place. Now that I have gotten really serious about eliminating my debt and buying a home, I thought that it would be a great idea to reread the book.

What makes this book so effective and successful is that it lays out a pretty simple plan for getting yourself started on the road to financial freedom. The steps are doable. That doesn't mean that the steps are easy. Self-control is a hard thing to develop, but if you work to intentionally plan your budget and stick to it, you will find yourself making progress.
