           What the actual fuck did I just read.

Like. Like. Like. Okay whatever, this entire story about a metropolis of vampires and the secret humans living amongst them and not secret humans living amongst them and the human colony on the other side of the mountains so they don't eat the entire supply. Okay? Cool.

But no—being a vampire is the actual normal state and bring a human is a virus caused by experimentation the vampires did to try and resolve a dwindling food supply. Okay? Vampires are normal, natural and humans are basically mutated, aberrant, sick vampires. Mkay?

And then—because it gets better, oh boy does it—this whole thing fucking leads to Gene and Sissy establishing the Garden of Eden??? Gene and Sissy, Genesis, are actually Adam and Eve? 

I can't I just fucking can't with this

By the way everyone else died, including Ashley June.

Never met up with Gene's father.

I guess Gene and Sissy aren't brother and sister but I really did think they were. Gene's father named Sissy Sis so she wouldn't forget she was Ben's sister (??????) and Gene never named his sister, referring to her as capital S Sister and then their names together spelling Genesis... I'm just saying I didn't come to that conclusion apropos of nothing.

Whatever glad this off my shelf either way. First book is still good (I think? Idk if this stupid-ass ending ruins it. Does GoT's stupid-ass ending ruins the good earlier parts? Whatever.)
