Another excellent book by Marie Brennan! I found myself once again falling in love with The characters and this engaging world. While this book started out a little slower than I would have preferred, it didn't take long for me to once again become wrapped up in the adventures and excitement.

Read for my 'Exceeds Expectations' N.E.W.T in History of Magic 2019 #magicalreadathon. Prompt - Read a book with a map. Career choice - Ministry of Magic, Department of Mysteries Worker. Nowhere near as good as the first instalment but still passable. Unsure whether I'm going to continue on with this series, hopefully this was just the 'second book slump' fantasy writers seem to go through.
