The Truth Project is Cordelia's story of how she finds out that she is the product of an affair after deciding to take a genealogy test for school. Turns out Cordelia has felt off and almost alienated from her family, even more so than the average teenager in typical YA. The results of the DNA test didn't entirely surprise her and we see how she navigates exactly what that means.

The Truth Project is written in the formats of verse, text, and email, which made for a relatively quick and easy read. There are many moments of tension, heartbreak, and just raw emotion as we see and feel how the results of a test affect a family in different ways. It was actually the Dad in this book that brought me to tears.

The good kind, anyway.

I’m going to have a lot of people disagree with me on this but although thsi was a powerful book with was I belive a powerful message, it was also too slow for my taste. I did read it in one day, so my judgement could be clouded, but i just didn’t love it.

When I got this book I didn't know that it would be almost entirely written in poems and while I'm not really a poem person, I really enjoyed it! The story felt very deep any meaningful and deals with growing up and finding your place in the world and figuring out who you are and where you come from. I was definitely moved and can't wait to read more from the author!

(also, even though this book has 400 pages it's a relatively quick reading experience because of the formating.)

Such a beautiful and heartfelt story. Eventhough this book is written in verse with some mixed media, it didn't stop me from being invested in the story. This just shows how brilliant the author is.

The story was good but I had trouble following along with it as an audiobook. The narrator did not grasp my attention and I would have to rewind frequently as I found myself zoning out and missing portions of the story. I would like to try this again as a physical book or ebook.
