This book hit me right in the feels with almost every poem. Definitely my favorite book of Lang Leav's many amazing books.

I have to be honest, I do not get the hype surrounding Lang Leav. She makes cute poems, true. But memorable ones? I don't think so. For a bestselling author, her poetry is pretty bland and very very repetitive. There were times where I felt that I was reading her other book, Love & Misadventure, which was the previous book that I read by her. Idk. Her poems don't catch my attention that much. I read the first five pages and I like it, but then I lose interest because the next six pages and so feel like they're all the same.

Beautiful... I love all of Lang Leav's poetry but this is the first book of hers that I finish completely. I can't say much because it is something someone should experience first hand except I will share a bit from one of my favorite poems from the book:

Without heartbreak, what is Adele, what is Taylor Swift and what is Lang Leav? Not sure if this is something for romantics or the heartbroken (probably not advisable to read if you're heartbroken or near any shade of emo) but I wasn't particularly taken with most of the book. 

Yay for some nice quotes, nay for endless lovesick pining.

I really enjoy reading poetry and have really been in the mood for it lately. I was happy to remember that I had this stashed on my kindle to devour. Which is exactly what I did, devour it. This collection of poetry is delightfully deep and evocative. It touches on subjects such as heartbreak, first loves, hope, and inner strength. Leav does a wonderful job of capturing each of those subjects and making you feel the coinciding emotions. I would definitely recommend this if you enjoy poetry and I hope to read more from her in the future.

I’ve in love with Lang Leav’s poems since the first time I read her first book “Love & Misadventure”. I think she has her own unique way in writing. Lang Leav’s poem somehow touch me, well not just me but every readers. I love poetry, not always tho. But, I always enjoy Lang Leav’s poems. “The Universe of Us is the fourth book. I love evey single poems in it because it’s universal and also the language is simple. I’ve put so many marks on this book. Here’s one of my favorite.

CHOOSE LOVE

My mother once said to me there are two kinds of men you’ll meet. The first ill give you the live you want and the second will give you the love you desire. If you’re one of the lucky few, you will find both in the one person. But if you ever find yourself having to choose the two, then always choose love.
