Destin had worked for the FBI and now works for Elise Oswald or Oz's group who solved crimes using psychic abilities. Her psychic gift has to do with seeing events through the mind of a rapist. It makes her good at catching them but has made her life difficult, especially when Caleb left her five years ago. She'd had to learn to live her life without the man she loved who had also been the filter that kept the nightmares and emotions from overwhelming her. Now five years later, Caleb still works for the FBI, but Oz has called him in to work with Destin on a very special case of a rapist operating on the campus of the University of Virginia. Now they must put aside the baggage of the last five years in order to stop a dangerous predator. The Unwanted sheds light on the character of Oz who appears in several of the books in The FBI Psychics Series. Although the novella is short (118 pages), the description of emotions and past experiences is very clear, making it a cut above many books of this length. Fans of The FBI Psychics Series won't be disappointed.
