Such a great book and ending. I mean I wanted it to be all happy fairytale ending and such but regardless, it still made me happy. I'd recommend it for a fast read :)

this is my second elizabeth scott novel. i read perfect you and definitely was not a fan and now i know i'm not. the story feels like it could have been written by a teen with no writing experience. I know quite a few writers (all unpublished teens) who have written better stories.

the concept of the book is very overdone, and the characters experience very little change. I guess it boils down to morals. even if sarah did like him first, she and him should not have gotten together because he had already committed himself to her friend.

this book was such a disappointment because it had absolutely no substance. the plot had elements that were unneeded, and it could've been written in a much better way, one that encapsulated the reader in a beautiful story of love, not a boring novel that made the reader wish they didn't have to finish it.

Sarah and Brianna have always been friends, and it's always gone like this: guys talk to Sarah in order to get closer to Brianna. So even though Sarah met Ryan first, she's not surprised that he ends up with Brianna (even though Sarah has a massive crush on him). The three of them hang out, and Sarah and Ryan's friendship grows until one night an innocent exchange between them leads to a moment that makes Sarah realize that Ryan might be interested in her after all. But if there's one unwritten rule, it's this: you don't mess around with a friend's boyfriend. So Sarah tries to resist temptation. But with the three of them thrown together more and more, tension builds between Sarah and Ryan, and when they find themselves alone together at one point, they realize they just can't fight how they feel anymore....

Overall I really enjoyed it, but I excepted way more character than I got. I thought it would focus more on her friendship rather than in the romance. I was a little disappointed because I've been wanting to read this book since forever but I still love Elizabeth Scott's books.

Elizabeth Scott still floors me with her writing! In fact, it has been so long since I read her other books that this book made me want to read them all over again.

This book is adorable, it is true, it is just brilliant on so many levels! Sarah is a main character that everyone will be able to identify with on some level. We follow her in a friendship that is so real, you will find yourself thinking about your "friend" you had like Brianna. A toxic friendship, but one also deeply filled with need. Reading Sarah's inner thoughts and guilt was always intriguing, but never overwhelming. I found myself adoring her more as she grew as a person.

The love in this story, both between friends and between couples, is also so true to life. Brianna's struggle with her divorced and uncaring parents, again so true. Elizabeth Scott takes all the things that her readers might have faced as young adults and addresses them in a way that only she can. 

My ultimate take on this book is simply that it is true and touching. I truly believe that every young girl should read this book at some point. It might prompt them to do a little soul searching as well.
