           After three books, Karina Yan Glaser has populated her fictional corner of Harlem with a close knit extended family of characters. We know where they live, where they work, their hopes and dreams. In the case of Mr. Beiderman we know of his heartbreak. Now, though, we all experience the surprise of a dear friend not only now homeless, but having secretly faced it many times before. And we experience loss as it's clear Mr. Jeet won't be recovering.

* I got this arc for review from the publisher for my honest thoughts*

This book was the warm hug that I needed. I loved how much this book dived into the importance of found family. I liked all all the vanderbeekers kids were dealing with different issues that so scream to me as hopping in middle school. I really think this book was such a joy to read, but also tackled harder issues like grief, and complicated family daynamics. This book made me miss NYC so much and i can't wait to see how this series ends in book 5!
