Let me begin by saying that my favorite childhood book is Peter Pan. Sky had big shoes to fill with this retelling of Wendy’s character. 

Wow. She nailed it!

This is an original story all on its own with a nod to the beloved classic tale in both character and heart. So much of The Wendy brings the reader back to the beauty of Neverland and Pan. However, the plot itself remains completely its own. Wendy is an empowered woman in a time before women even had the vote. Her struggles and dreams are very real. The respect she is bestowed by the end is well earned. 

I can’t wait to read more...
