I loved all of the background information this novella gave us!

5 stars It was heartbreaking reading and learning more about Céline. Reading about her and her sad life made me want to reach out to her and give her a tight, long hug, especially knowing what happens next. Knowing that she won’t have a happy ending, that her pain will last forever... it’s so heartbreaking. She wanted Stephen so much she settled for a forced love because she thought no one could truly love her. “It didn’t feel like choosing because it was the only choice she had.” SO SAD. And then of course, as always, Jem and Tessa broke my heart too. It pains me deeply to see my favourite characters suffer this way for centuries. Seeing Jem losing himself little by little is what destroys me the most! The only comfort I have is knowing that they will find their way back to each other somehow. And of course... Will, my Will! Everytime they mention him I cry a little! This story was so painful and beautifully written... it was perfection. Thank you Cassandra for always reminding me what love truly is about!

I LOVE The Infernal Devices, don't really care about The Mortal Instruments and REALLY LIKE the Dark Artificies. The reasons why I read these short stories are: 1) My love for Jem and Tessa and Will (and all the Characters of the series 2) My future love for theis kids... ( I hope The Last Hours will be very good) 3) My extreme curiosity about Kits' parents.The information we get about Kit are very interesting and the storyline is going to be explored in The Queen of Air and Darkness. In this story some of my suspisions about Kits' parents are answered and we meet Celine. She suffered all of her childhood in the hands of her family, being ignored by everyone and Valentine takes advantage of this .The problem is that despite her knowing this, she let it happen. Celine seems as fragile, in need of love and protection and she doesn't share Valentines cruelty,but some of her actions are cruel and selfish nonetheless.. I appreciated how we finally see who Celine was..BUT ...Stephen ,Robert and Valentine are not characters i care to read about . I don't like them. I guess this was my problem with most characters of the original series.... So this was not one of the stories I didn't liked as much as others...

This was so enjoyable and really spread some light on certain aspects of the Shadowhunter world.
