The Wrong/Right Man

The Wrong/Right Man

Waking up to a text asking why you stood up your blind date is not the best way to start the day, especially when the man in question is standing half dressed in your kitchen. Maybe Dakota Newton shouldn't have assumed the gorgeous man with a devastating smile standing outside the coffee shop was her date. She probably-- Okay, she definitely shouldn't have slept with him, regardless of how hot the chemistry between them was. But how could she know Mr. Right was actually Mr. Wrong? Braxton Adams has been called a few things in his life, but a liar was never one of them. That all changes when he's approached by a beautiful woman who thinks he's there to meet her for a date. As a businessman, Brax knows to trust his gut and never let an opportunity pass him by, so he pretends to be someone he's not. Maybe he shouldn't have lied. Maybe he should have come clean. But in the end, it doesn't matter, because now he has to prove he's not the wrong man but the right one. So what if he's not the man she's expecting? She's the one he's been waiting for.

** spoiler alert ** Actual rating: high 4.5 ARR definitely delivered on the over the top alpha male. Braxton is close to stealing the #1 spot on my ARR males! I really liked the relationship between Dakota and Braxton. Even though it was very fast-paced, the course of the relationship felt very natural. The reason my rating went down from a 5 to 4.5 was that 1) Dakota kept trying to "save" others from the danger when the others where the ones actually keeping her safe and it got a little annoying. 2) I wished the suspense/drama was a little more drawn out. I felt like the resolution of it was just there for the happy ever after. We never once suspected who the "bad guy" was because the stalking and everything else was only alluded to once at the beginning of the book. I felt like maybe we could've gotten more of that so that we could actually see and get to know the "bad guy" more. I honestly kind of forgot about him and had to think back to what he did and how he was in the little interaction we got. It sounds like I didnt enjoy it but I really did! Promise lol. I've read almost every ARR book and I've never given them less than a 3.5
