If you are interested in the history of cinema, you’ll find this book quite enjoyable. Really feels like it could’ve been edited down a bit more and the debates of film theory and narrative descriptions of film scenes get a bit wearing after a while. The variety of characters was sketched very well. Feels a bit too didactic in parts and the seduction of every female character makes your eyes roll.
