Holy crap, I devoured this book! KV Rose has been so hyped up to me that I honestly wasn't sure what to expect. 

The story immediately captured my attention and I didn't want to be pulled away. I'm so glad there are more books because I need more from The Unsainted NOW. 

The writing was amazing and I can already see myself binging all of her books! I was trying to figure out who I was supposed to dislike the entire time while reading and I still don't know lol. I really like Jeremiah and his crazy ass lol. 

This isn't the darkest romance I've read but it definitely is dark. I wouldn't recommend this to dark romance beginners because some stuff would definitely weird out the newbies. But I loved it. I'm here for it. 

I don't know why it took me so long to pick up this series (I've seen it a lot but never really paid much attention to it) but don't worry, I'm kicking my ass. This was recommended to me by a few people and I can safely say that I won't doubt their judgment again. I've adored almost every book they have recommended to me so I'm not sure why I doubted them. 

Lucifer doesn't appear much in the first half of the book but it just makes you thirst for him more. The intrigue is there and let me tell you, once we get more of Lucifer, HE.DOES.NOT.DISAPPOINT. Holy crap, I love him lol. 

Sid is amazing! If I had a Book-Girlfriend shelf --is that a thing? asking for a friend-- I would definitely be adding her to it. She has been through so much, and while she isn't the most badass FMC I've read, her bravery and stupidness are so relatable. Sid doesn't have to be the toughest, most experienced fighter in the room for her to steal your heart. Again, her bravery and stupidness in situations are what capture your attention. It doesn't let it go and honestly, why would you want to give it back??

There wasn't much of any *actual* romance in this one but it just made me more excited to see what happens in book 2

1. My reviews are a little biased. I’m high key obsessed with KV, and this book started the obsession, so sorry about it. 
2. KV’s books aren’t for everyone, there’s tons of triggers and crazy shit that’s just not for everyone. So keep that in mind before you attempt to read them. 

These Monstrous Ties is the first book in the Unsainted series, and also was the first book I ever read by KV. I’m super glad KU recommended this book because I am so completely enamored with this series/characters/author. KV just takes all this fucked up shit and makes it palatable, and I mean that in the best way possible. 

If you’re into cult shut, crazy possessive men, psychopaths, and murder. You could check this series out!
