As someone who is passionate about books and believes in the power of literature, it was a treat to see the "ideal bookshelves" of so many people in the creative industries. My Ideal Bookshelf contains some of the most beautiful artwork I've seen in a long time. I've always loved to draw and sketch book spines. The fonts always present such a thrilling challenge to me. Artist Jane Mount has re-created hundreds of book spines in this collection, all of which are aesthetically pleasing. Every person that contributed to this book provided an insight into why they chose their career path and what books mean to them. It was a joy to read and learn about so many books and authors I've never heard of before. As a true bibliophile, I give this book five stars. As a voracious reader, my TBR list just got a lot longer!
