At the start of this book or the first 30 pages or so, I was a bit grossed out because of some of the writing, it was often talking about boys looking at girls chests, constantly calling girls attractive from the main character (one of the girls was horrible and literally trying to kill the boy and he knew that). I guess it’s quite small but those really made me CRINGE okay.

So once we get into the book a bit more, a bit more about the cult, it starts getting interesting. I enjoyed it a lot more. The plot wasn’t entirely realistic, though. For example, the big house that ‘The People’, who are the members of the cult, live in a big old schoolhouse and no one is allowed out. It just confuses me because in London somewhere, how does no one see it? Or does no one really care? But odd. 

Overall, good book, read it in about 1 1/2 - 2 hours. My apologies for this terribly written review I haven’t done this before so sorry :)

First of all, I must admit I bought this book because of it's cover and nothing else (not something I do while choosing books). It turns out, I could not decide whether this book is for teenagers or not... It seems too scary for a teenager to be reading this tbh and for adults, I don't think it has the language to keep an adult impressed/focused. 
The story is about this psycho, Coron, who believes that he's going to rule the world, if he killed thirteen specific children, with the help of his cult 'The People'. When he reaches his thirteenth child, Adam, it doesn't turn out as he planned. The ending was also very rushed, out of the blue, everything's fine and Adam's celebrating with his friends again. I don't know I just didn't feel it, and there's a sequel to it, which I won't be reading for sure BUT if there was movie to this book (I always prefer books so this is not even a compliment) I might give it another go.

Better than I thought it was going to be. I enjoyed the plot line and want to continue with the rest of the books. The only thing about this book I didn’t like was that it didn’t write teenagers very well, with what they say. But other than that it’s quite a good book.

(3/5) 2 hours 33 minutes - The storyline was very engaging, albeit unrealistic a lot of the time. The characters were interesting enough but lacked depth or character development most of the time which could have made this book even better. The writing style was simplistic, but I didn't mind this that much - in some places I felt it fit the story pretty well. Sometimes, however, it was too simplistic, and fell into the trap of 'telling not showing'. Overall, this book was action-packed and enjoyable to read, but had great potential and fell a bit short of what it could have been.
