These sources include fathers and other male family members, coaches, and a vast array of media that depict women as primarily having value through sexuality. The fallout of raising boys to view women this way is the continuation of highly progressive-resistant forms of patriarchy that contribute to everything from the glass ceilings in professional life with which women contend to the high rates of physical and sexual assault that permeate society.
