A collection of short stories about life in a small town Denmark where people - unfortunately - know each other’s secret. There are 4 stories about Åge Jørgensen and his family that makes you wonder what he actually has done, and some “loose” stories about other characters. It makes you think about the “rotten banana” - banana-shaped area in Denmark, sleepy small towns where dreams go to die.

Korsgaard is usually a master of storytelling that he powerfully showed in his earlier “trilogy” about young man called Tue who is struggling, living in Copenhagen, trying to scrape a life.

It’s quite entertaining nonetheless but I feel it lacks certain depth
