So this is a love-it-or-hate-it book, and I understand why someone would hate it. Often people say that this is Pynchon's most accessible, but it's really not very accessible at all. Don't come expecting an easy read. The prose can be funny but at times goes on for way to long about irrelevant things. But this is, I can say, a funny book. Lots of weird stuff happens to Oedipa as she searches for the Tristero, but a lot of it is purposely incoherent. But if you wants a fun and difficult read, this is for you.
