I still don't buy his shitty ass reason it was not enough and it got me thinking that even though I like this genre I'm glad it's not my reality. I would run for the hills. What's up with this stereotype of American school kids acting like wild animals whenever someone new comes to the school? Ignore them, simple, they won't be the new kid for much longer. In order for bully romances to work the reason has to be quite solid (warped yes) but sturdy enough that the first signs of logic won't make it fall apart.

I liked this book! I e had a run of bad bully books recently, but this isn’t one of them! 
Jake is a great, complex character and his hate is palpable.
I loved how strong Amalie is, standing up to Jake.
Their group of friends are fantastic as well and i can’t wait to read book 2!
There are a few continuity issues, and I really disliked Amalie at the end, but she redeemed herself, thankfully.
If bully romances are your thing, this is a great one!
