Her Naughty Holiday
Reviews

Completely unrealistic, but so adorable and snarky that I read it in one sitting.

Great quick read perfect for when I needed a pick me up after a bad day. I discovered it on Sarah Maclean's list of romances and as soon as I saw the fake relationship trope I was interested. Even better? It was free to lend from the library. I wasn't hoping to read a holiday read in August but since I don't celebrate Thanksgiving anyway it didn't feel too unseasonable. Clover is a brilliant woman who is a little scared of her family and the little dogs they inevitably get in at family event so what better way to deal talking about her issues with her family than getting a fake boyfriend to stop the dogs about her social and family life? And the best man for the job? Her assistant's smoking hot dad obviously! And there we have carpenter Erick being g totally hot and swoonworthy and I'm in my happy place from there. Look, it's a quick read. Yes I rolled my eyes at a couple of plot points (thirty year old virgin? And orgasm in first try? I had questions) and yes I didn't like he was a smoking hot dad whose hilarious teenaged daughter (Ruthie) didn't get to play an even bigger role. She was awesome. Erick did come across a little too perfect. But this is romance people and if I think Clo deserved a hot boyfriend, excellent sex and a chance to put her family in their place then don't ruin it for me! She gets what she deserves in the best way possible. If you want a light easy read then check this out. It is sex heavy but I wasn't complaining.

Clover Greene is definitely not excited to host her judgmental family for Thanksgiving, the family who make her feel less than, despite her success as a business owner, her happiness with her career. So, when her seventeen-year-old employee Ruthie offers up her hot dad as a fake boyfriend buffer, Clover is just desperate enough to consider it, kind of. Obviously she won't do that though right? Erick Fields is super hot, a contractor who can build cedar desks and roofs and makes Clover smile, especially with his endearing and hilarious relationship with his prickly daughter. Asking him for such a ridiculous favor is just something Clover can't bring herself to do. But when Erick shows up at Clover's nursery because Ruthie "forget her cell phone" they both know Ruthie is attempting to set them up. And it totally works (good job Ruthie). And some fun banter turns into immediate sexual chemistry as they both confirm their mutual crushes. Erick agrees to be her fake boyfriend, but with real benefits. So, starting off with a bang (woo) Clover and Erick enjoy their new real sexual relationshp as they quickly realize their fake one should really be something more. Such a fun, low angst romance that is awesomely well-rounded for being not super long. I loved Ruthie's character (not just a plot moppet teen), Erick's relationship with her, and how supportive and sexy Erick is as Clover figures out how to deal with her shitty family. I liked how Reisz dealt with the concept of "virginity" and how Erick uses the feminist lessons his daughter taught him to be a great guy. Super fun!

How is Tiffany Reisz so good at making me laugh and swoon!? I love this series so much - review to come! Thanks to the publisher for generously providing me an ARC to review.
