Tengo que ser 100% honesta, al principio el libro no me enganchó nada, no conectaba con los personajes como en los otros libros de Tillie.

Hasta que lo hice...

Resumen 
A Wish for Us cuenta la historia de Cromwell, un famoso DJ que tiene sinestesia lo cual hace que sus sentidos sean más agudos y perciba de forma diferente los sonidos y sabores, así como también siente con más intensidad sus emociones. 
Por una gran tragedia abandona su verdadera pasión: la música clásica. Y viaja de Inglaterra a Estados Unidos, donde se reencuentra con Bonnie.
Bonnie es una chica hermosa con una gran pasión por la composición de canciones. 
Ella y Cromwell se reencuentran en la escuela de música en Carolina del Sur, donde comparten una clase y son arrastrados a trabajar en equipo, teniendo que dejar de lado sus diferencias.
Ambos bajan poco a poco sus murallas y se van perdiendo en el ser del otro, tanto que son obligados a resistir una gran tragedia.

Reseña 
Tillie no deja de sorprenderme con la gran versatilidad que tiene para escribir y saltar de un género a otro. Antes pensaba que su punto más fuerte era el dark romance, ahora pienso que esta mujer tiene muchísimos puntos fuertes, porque todo lo que escribe lo hace bien.

No puedo encontrar una mejor forma de describir este libro que diciendo que es como si fuera un final alterno de a thousand boy kisses, vi tanto de Poppy en Bonnie, y ni hablar de Rune en Cromwell. Ambas historias tienen en común algo sumamente trágico, pero el desarrollo de ese aspecto gira en direcciones opuestas. 

Cromwell estaba roto. No hay una mejor forma de describirlo. Estaba roto, estaba enojado con el mundo y se estaba ahogando en un pozo abismal. Me costó entenderlo, pero cuando conocí su historia, solo quería abrazarlo y decirle que no tenía nada de lo que martirizarse. 

Bonnie es una de las protagonistas más fuertes que he leído, jamás dejó de soñar, de tener fé y de luchar. Se complementó perfectamente con Cromwell, tanto así que logró sanarlo.

Ambos fluían tan hermosamente mientras los leía, ambos apoyándose y dándose fuerzas.

A Wish for Us es un libro demasiado emocional, que te pone a pensar muchísimas cosas. Una de las principales es en la situación en la que se encontraba Easton. Muchas veces nos es fácil juzgar a una persona como él cuando hace cosas como las que él hizo, pero deberíamos ver más allá y pensar en todo por lo que tuvo que pasar. Me dolió enormemente el corazón leer lo de East, pero lo entendí. De la forma más agridulce posible, pero lo entendí.

Me hubiera gustado leer en el epílogo la relación de Cromwell y su mamá ya solucionada, porque solo se nombra al profesor, y por ende se entiende que las cosas son mejores con ambos. Pero insisto, una reconciliación o él hablando sobre algo con referencia a su mamá hubiera sido perfecto.

Un libro lleno de dolor, de esperanza y de felicidad agridulce. Eso es lo que representa A Wish for Us.

A Wish for Us is the definition of an emotional roller coaster, there’s no other thing I can compare this book to. Tbh, I went blind on this book, so I didn’t know what it was about, but now I’m so happy I could read it *cleans up the tears on her face*. 
I REALLY recommend this book, if you have a hard heart (you’ll understand later 💀💀); I think this is one of the best books I’ve read: the plot, the characters, their problems, their passions, everything is so well done, I love it.
This was my first Tillie Cole book, but it is definitely not the last one!! Read it, it’s soooo gooodd!!!!

A wish for us ist ein Buch das ich mit ganzem Herzen weiterempfehlen kann. Besonders an die, die starke weibliche Protas mögen. Aber auch Cromwell, der Love-Interest, konnte mich im Laufe des Buches für sich gewinnen. Die beiden passen meiner Meinung nach wirklich super zu einander. Der Schreibstil ist tiefgründig und emotional. Musik spielt eine sehr wichtige Rolle, wird aber so beschrieben, dass auch Leute wie ich, die wirklich sehr wenig Ahnung von dem Thema haben, verstehen können was Bonnie und Cromwell tun. Die Handlung war vorallem am Anfang etwas klischeehaft hat sich aber zum Ende hin immer verbessert. Ein wirklich berührendes Buch, aber dennoch hat mir etwas gefehlt, sodass eine Bedeutung für mich hat.

Ich mochte es sehr gerne, wie die Musik dafür benutzt wurde, um die Gefühle und Gedanken der Protas wiederzugeben. Dadurch hatte ich das Gefühl einen viel tieferen Einblick in bekommen und konnte sie auch in ihren Handlungen viel mehr nachvollziehen. Dadurch, dass auch Cromwell und Bonnie diese Art der Kommunikation, die außer ihnen nur sehr wenige verstehen, verwendet haben, hat ihre Liebesgeschichte für mich realistischer gemacht.

I don’t even know how to start let alone write this review. Anything I can say still wouldn’t do this book justice. This is my first ever Tillie Cole book and WOW, just WOW this woman knows how to write. You legit feel every emotion these characters are feeling. When they are happy, you are too. When they are angry, so are you, and when they cry, you full out cry with snot running down your face.

I had no idea what to expect out of this book. I just saw the cover, read the synopsis and knew I had to read it immediately. What I got out of this book, was one a new favorite author, and two a story that will forever be embedded into my heart and soul. A Wish for Us is a book that literally defines what an emotional roller coaster is. One minute you are coming up into a high of happiness, and the next you are plunging down from the author punching you in the gut again. And the characters in this book, from the main ones to the secondary ones, I absolutely love. That’s all I can really say about this book, because like I said, I can’t do it any justice. Just go read this book and you will see for yourself just how amazing this story is. Why it is my top read of 2018, and one of my all time favorite books ever.
