Nate goes back home to Jankburg, PA and has to learn how to cope with his biggest challenge yet: going back to school. But he knows exactly what he's going to do to make a big splash--he's going to use his English project to adapt Dickens' Great Expectations into a great extravaganza of a musical! Nate Expectations by Tim Federle is the conclusion to the Better Nate Than Ever series which began in 2013. Having not received a single Tony nomination and with dwindling ticket sales, E.T. the Musical has stopped its run and Nate is back home. While Nate was in New York his school changed.
